I am an historian, a freelance interpreter (German-English-Spanish), and a special education teacher in the United States’ second-largest school district where I teach students with specific learning disabilities. During five years of teaching in after-school, community organization, college, and prison classrooms, I have discovered my passion for public education. So I decided to earn my Education Specialist credential while completing my dissertation in history. I just wrapped up my first year in the credentialing program and as a middle school special education teacher and am currently in the writing stage of my dissertation. If you are interested in public education, a different take on graduate school, and all things multilingual, this blog is for you.
